5G+ Modeling & Simulation

Athena-Tek will demonstrate how M&S is used to support this use case for Network Planning, Design, and Optimization.

5G Private Network Design/Integration

Athena-Tek will demonstrate how we’ve created our own 4G/5G private network using open-source software and a Software Defined Radio (SDR). Athena-Tek leverages this open-source private network for prototyping and testing for ARES I and ARES II.

5G ARES I-MILES/ILTE Integration

Athena-Tek will demonstrate how ARES II, I-MILES, and ILTE will work in unison during a training scenario at Fort Hood for the STAAR initiative. ARES II will translate the I-MILES laser codes and send them over the air via Athena-Tek’s private network to ILTE. From ILTE, you will be able to visualize status reports of ARES II. 

5G ARES Speed Test

Athena-Tek will demonstrate the 5G connectivity by showing a speed test on a congested commercial network and on a private network and discuss the differences between the two.

5G ARES AR/VR & Hololens Integration

Athena-Tek’s ARES I and ARES II have the capability and interface (USB Type C) to connect to a Microsoft HoloLens 2. ARES I and II can provide the HoloLens 2 internet access through the 5G connection. Athena-Tek will demonstrate this connectivity by leveraging the KPI collection capability.

5G ARES STE/IVAS Connectivity

ARES I and ARES II have the potential to allow STE to determine whether to render the HoloLens images from the cloud or from the player unit depending on available network resources.

5G ARES Data Collection

Athena-Tek’s ARES I and ARES II have the capability of connecting to these data collectors via ethernet and transmitting the data over the air to the appropriate destination. Athena-Tek will demonstrate how ARES can pull data directly off an ADMAS and stream the data to a server using 5G.

5G ARES Network KPIs

Athena-Tek will demonstrate the capability to show how we understand and analyze how ARES I and ARES II perform near the cell edge.

5G Electronic Warfare

Athena-Tek will demonstrate ARES II being jammed by an SDR on our private network. Once jammed, ARES II collects the network KPI’s from the 5G modem which is then used for analysis.
