TED Sub-meter Accuracy

Objective:
Enhance warfighter training and operational testing realism by integrating TED with real-time kinematics (RTK) to improve GPS accuracy. Using Athena-Tek’s RTK base station, GPS corrections are generated and delivered via a mesh gateway to TED, which can further transmit corrections via Bluetooth to external sensor systems. This integration supports the development of advanced sensor systems that improve training effectiveness.
Approach:
GPS RTK is achieved by leveraging Athena-Tek’s RTK base station to create the GPS corrections. Athena-Tek uses a mesh gateway to push the corrections to the TED. Moreover, the TED can push the corrections via Bluetooth to external sensor systems. Ultimately, the sensor system improves training, which is currently under development.
