TED Sub-meter Accuracy
Objective:
TED integrates real-time kinematics (RTK) to improve GPS accuracy for operational testing and warfighter training realism.
Approach:
GPS RTK is achieved by leveraging Athena-Tek’s RTK base station to create the GPS corrections. Athena-Tek uses a mesh gateway to push the corrections to the TED. Moreover, the TED can push the corrections via Bluetooth to external sensor systems. Ultimately, the sensor system improves training, which is currently under development.
