Janio Sanchez is the President of Athena Technologies. He has over 30 years of communications system integration experience. Janio’s experience includes working for Grumman aerospace, designing sophisticated communications systems for the A6 aircraft; working for Northern Telecom, designing and simulating electronic circuit boards for communications systems, designing sophisticated software for the switching systems and working on cellular network designs/deployments. Janio started Saniz Telecom Inc. in support of cellular networks being deployed in Latin America. He also invested in acquiring radio frequency licenses to provide services in Ecuador. Janio’s most recent position, before Athena Technologies, was as the subject matter expert in communications in support of a plethora of programs across Project Manager Training Devices (PM TRADE).
The Department of Defense experience afforded Janio the ability to understand firsthand Army communication use cases, requirements, spectrum challenges and available market solutions. Janio’s value proposition to the Department of Defense and to industry in general is the ability to execute complex engineering projects, in time, and within budget.
Janio has an electrical engineering B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami, and he took graduate level courses in computer science at New York Institute of Technology and Duke University.

Oscar E. Sanchez ESQ, is Athena-Tek's CFO and Director of Contracts. Prior to joining Athena-Tek, Oscar was legal counsel for Goldberg Segalla and Wilson Elser law firms based in West Palm Beach Florida. Oscar has over 20 years practicing law in the areas of Corporate and Tax law.
Also an accountant, Oscar was a tax auditor with the New York State Taxation and Finance Department and an intern with the Criminal Investigations Divisions of the Internal Revenue Service. Oscar was the comptroller and later Vice President and General Counsel for Saniz Telecom, a Florida telecom company with South American affiliates. Oscar participated in multiple mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures during his tenure.
Oscar has an in-depth knowledge and experience of the accounting profession. Oscar worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers, a national accounting firm, where he specialized in Tax planning and compliance and corporate restructuring for Fortune 500 corporations as well as small businesses.
Oscar has a JD degree from Yeshiva University and a BA in Accounting from the City University of New York.
Senior RF Engineer
Arnold Cabal is a senior RF Engineer at Athena Technologies with all aspects of wireless experience. Strong LTE, WiMAX, CDMA with UMTS experience involved in various aspects of cellular network engineering ranging from initial cell site design to performance optimization. Arnold is proficient in the use of multiple tools such as A-TOL, Mentum 5.7, Asset prediction tool ver.5, CDMA/1XRTT Data Collection and Optimization, among others. His professional experience includes senior positions at companies such as Nextel Communications, Watco LLC, Sprint, LCC International Inc., where he performed cell planning of sites to meet design objectives, documented and designed RF interference predictions process. Designed and Supported over 600 UMTS/GSM Node B overlay in NJ/NY market. Designed over 1200 Sprint/Nextel asset sites WiMAX overlay RF design in the Baltimore and Washington area. Designed over 1200 additional WiMAX sites to meet Sprint coverage requirements. Conceptualized, designed and implemented eight indoor sites, consisting of 2 omnis and 6 sectored, to support iDEN Technology Laboratory requirement to simulate real-world RF environment test scenarios. His most recent position was at Sprint as a Senior RF Engineer.
Arnold has a B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Saint Louis University in Baguio City, Philippines. He also holds a Professional Electronics and Communications Engineering Licensure.
Steven J. Webster is the Senior RF Advisor with over 30 years of expertise in RF engineering and training, consulting, sales, design and optimization work. He has worked with the DoD and companies such as Cingular, Sprint, and EDX Wireless. He is also the Principal and Founder of Wireless Expertise, a sole proprietorship for consulting work, assisting manufacturers, system integrators and network operators with wireless network engineering, including LMR system design and optimization, wireless broadband network design and tower coverage analysis.
Steven has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Marcos Villanueva is the Senior Technology and Strategy Advisor. Marcos is a seasoned executive with diverse business development, sales, marketing, operations, and general management experience.
Marcos has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications. Early in his career while working for a US telecom operator he held key positions, in the areas of Billing Services, Installation, Maintenance, Regulatory and International Business Development. In addition, Marcos has managed international wireless Sales Operations for Nortel and Qualcomm. Later, at Ericsson he held several international positions as Vice President for Network Roll Out, Services Sales, Operations, Technical Solutions and Business Development.
Marcos has lived and worked in Chile, United States, Brazil, Spain, Panama and Turkey and has conducted business in Latin America, the US and Europe.
Marcos holds a B.S. degree in Business from Universidad de Chile and a M.A. in Communications from Michigan State University, US.
Marc Lamothe is the Chief Engineer at Athena Technologies. He obtained his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon, France.
One of his major accomplishments during his doctorate was the development of surface acoustic wave sensors (SAW) using ultra-wide-band coding. Upon receiving his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, he pursued research to further develop SAW sensors in a wireless ultra-wideband as well as liquid environments along with software development (Qt/C++) to control a chirp radar through an SDR driver, implementation of a reciprocal counter on an FPGA (Armadeus board) platform and using embedded Linux on a Redpitaya Board (ZYNQ SoC) and driver development.
Since 2018, Marc has held senior positions with Aviana Molecular Technologies and Athena Technologies in Central Florida. His professional accolades include software Development (Qt/C++), RS232 communication, signal processing, and GUI, development of a Chirp Radar based on B200mini (Ettus board) for a cooperative target (SAW sensors) on the ISM band (915 MHz) and WAIC band (4.3 GHz), prototype design of RF frontend for the WAIC RF band (Low Noise Figure), implementation of a Verilog code on an FPGA (Spartan6) to support Frequency hopping, custom embedded Linux on IMX8M interfaced with 5G modem, and 4G jamming implementation on a Software Defined Radio to simulate a network attack.
